Experiences of a Systems Integrator in a Virtual World

Live from the campus of UNC-Greensboro! Our Tim Mangan will interview a field consultant from XenTegra, a Microsoft and Citrix partner that covers the Carolinas. We will talk about real world customer engagements involving various virtualization technologies.

Speaker Bio:

Tadd is a consultant based in Charlotte, North Carolina at XenTegra. His bio on LinkedIn lists a ton of Citrix and Microsoft certifications.

An Introduction to VM-Aware Storage

We will discuss and have a live demonstration of a new class of storage where the fundamental organization unit of management, reporting and optimization is the VM and vDisk. This allows unprecedented visibility and predictability in virtualized environments. As VM-Aware storage platforms become more commonplace in the industry, it will be important to evaluate and compare the relative benefits of the various platforms, much like the various platforms for general purpose storage.

Speaker Bio:

John Shedlosky has been a Senior Systems Engineer with Tintri for two years. John has been working in the storage industry for 15 years evangelizing new technologies. He has worked with a number of emerging storage technologies and companies including Data Domain, EMC, Nimble Storage and Tintri.
