Consolidating VDI Along With Business Critical Apps on NexGen Storage

You want to embrace VDI to reduce costs and increase agility, but the complexities of optimizing your infrastructure to deliver the required end user experience and performance required by other critical business applications gets in the way. As you look to effectively rollout a VDI deployment, there are technologies and best practices you should be aware of that are specifically designed to address VDI requirements.

Speaker Bio:

Lana Rosenzweig is a senior account executive with significant technical knowledge of storage, storage infrastructure, business continuity, disaster recovery, and virtualization. Lana is currently the Northeast Territory Manager for NexGen Storage, and has experience working for organizations including CommVault, Dell, Hewlett-Packard, LeftHand Networks, and Spectra Logic. She holds a BS in Computer Science from Northeastern University and currently resides in New York.

Hybrid Networking a Cloud Environment. Where do the internet and trusted IP networks fit in your deployment strategy?

This discussion reviews how a combination of High speed Internet and Private Trusted IP network components can result in a robust and cost effective environment. Topics will include the effects of Latency and Jitter and how Quality of Service can enhance the user experience. We will also discuss how deploying VOIP in a virtualized environment can ensure the continuity of voice services while enhancing the cost benefits of the network deployment.

Speaker Bio:

Peter began his career in Aeronautic Electronics in the late 1960s. Working for the British Ministry of Defense, he worked on air/ground telemetry systems involved in the development of the Concord SST and the Harrier Jump Jet. Later he became involved in the commercial computer industry and has worked in sales and engineering positions for various organizations through the years. He moved to the USA in 1977 Current Responsibilities: For the last 10 years he has worked for Windstream Initially selling Voice/Data equipment solutions and, more recently as an NDS. As an NDS he has supported multiple sales teams in the North East including NYC, Long Island, North Jersey, Westchester and Albany. Recently Peter has moved to support the Framingham, Ma sales team.
