6:30 - 7:00 Unified Infrastructure Management for Citrix XenDesktop

A presentation by David Hayward of Computer Associates. Ensuring the availability and quality of IT-based services is “Job 1” for IT teams today. Citrix XenDesktop , like many new services, rely on layers of physical and virtual infrastructure. This high level of complexity can makes the trouble-shooting task more complex and time-consuming, often as users suffer from service outages and performance degradations. To help you find and fix Citrix XenDesktop problems faster -- and even prevent problems from noticeably impacting Citrix XenDesktop services -- CA Technology has introduced unified infrastructure management. David Hayward, Sr. Principal Solutions Marketing Manager from CA Technologies, will present unified infrastructure management and illustrate common Citrix XenDesktop use cases.

7:00 - 7:30 NVIDIA GRID – Enabling Graphics in Desktop Virtualization

Jeff Sporn, Business Development Manager at  NVIDIA will present on some of the awesome capabilities of the new GPUs. For years, customers have struggled to implement desktop and application virtualization for users that require any graphics above Win7 and MS Office.  With NVIDIA GRID, customers can now deliver the same user experience in a virtualized environment as they have with a high end PC or workstation at the desk.

7:40 - 8:15 Going Mobile

At our last meeting, you requested that we add Mobile to our technology stack. Friend of VirtG, Tood Smith from Citrix delivers for us tonight.  Todd's abstract:

Citrix - Taking a company “Mobile” encompasses a varied set of solutions, from devices to applications, to data, and services. How do you plan for mobility? What is required? How do you get where you need to be? In this session, we will discuss and present the different options that are available, as well as, the methods of deploying a mobile solution for your business. We will approach this from the IT management, IT administration, business unit, and user requirements and expectations. We will also share insights, observations, and recommendations.
With Mobility Solutions: storage, applications, and access controls become a critical relationship within the total solution. We will discuss how all of these components work in concert to help you “Go Mobile”.
Come learn how Citrix can provide an end to end solution for enterprise mobility.

8:15 - 8:45 What else is new with Citrix?

There is a lot going on at Citrix these days.  Tim Mangan has been on the road this summer attending Citrix Synergy and speaking at a post Synergy road shows around the country. He will review what he knows about the other changes at Citrix, including the big changes in both XenApp and XenDesktop.  Want to know about the latest in Netscaler and XenClient?  Storefront? What about App Virtualization?  Be ready with your questions!
