Piotr Iwanow, Sr System Engineer, Fujitsu

Fujitsu PRIMERGY Cloud Virtualization Technologies

Today the word “cloud” has many meanings and definitions including public clouds, private clouds, and hybrid that involve a combination of both including cloud-bursting. The basic technology foundation that enables these platforms has revolved around Virtualization, typically at the server layer. Clouds as a resource are much more than computing power however, and also involve the network and storage layer. Fujitsu will be providing a brief overview of its basic cloud-foundation technologies that include: hyper-scale server computing, a cloud-infrastructure management stack that includes resource management, as well as a self-provisioning portal and charge-back mechanism for resources consumed, and where and how that fits within the larger datacenter ecosystem today.
