CALL

FOR

SPONSORS

Virtualization Boston seeks sponsors for this event.  Based on the success of the last four years, we expect 150 to 200 IT Professionals and Consultants eager to learn about products and technology to be attending.

Sponsorships are incredibly important to our operation.  We are non-for-profit and run 100% by volunteers.  So sponsorships go towards not only funding this event, but our programs throughout the year.

We have four levels of sponsors:

  • Platinum
  • Gold
  • Silver
  • Virtual (Sponsoring Community Groups)

Deadline to commit is 1/31/2012.  Last year we sold out, so don't wait!

For more information, please contact Dan Stolts.

 Sponsorship Details

This year the Expo Hall will be a dedicated space located in the Central hall outside the meeting rooms. A large space with plenty of room for tables and meandering attendees, this will be unlike previous years when space was more limited. Each location will have a table and probably power. Higher level sponsors will be given first consideration on placement and table sizes. Exact details and a map of the layout is not yet available.

All sponsors will be listed with their level on the event website any any mailings made by VirtG to promote the event.

All sponsors will be publicly acknowledged in front of the entire audience during the opening and sessions.

The event uses a "working lunch" concept, which has worked very well in the past. Attendees will grab a sandwich and sit to listen to a series of presentations by our various sponsors. Unlike the technical sessions, where we implore speakers to avoid "Marketing pitches", this is a great opportunity for sponsors to give a message of any type. In the past, some have used this as a chance to tell people about their company (the "elevator pitch"), talk about a particular product, promote a raffle item they are offering, or to promote a afternoon session where one of their employees is speaking. to fit everyone in, time-limits are ultra short and enforced. The 5, 3, and 2 minute slots makes it a fun, fast, and furious lunch program. Just enough to tease the audience to come by and see your table in the Expo Hall.

VirtG has a policy to not provide attendee contact information that we collected from attendees to the sponsors. Instead, we encourage sponsors to collect this information from attendees as they visit their table in the Expo Hall. The easiest way to do this is to offer a raffle prize to those that give you their business cards. We will support you with this; bringing you up on stage at the closing session to announce the winner and award the prize. This has been hugely popular with the attendees in the past. i can't imagine what the sponsors will offer at this year's event, but it probably won't be a pen.

Sponsorship does not directly lead to speaking sessions, but we will consider session proposals from sponsoring companies favorably. Speaking sessions should be very heavy on technical content. Speakers are requested to keep Sales/Marketing content to a bare minimum; one slide and a simple mention please! In the past, sponsoring speakers have been very cooperative with this policy.
